CHANON COOK PROMOTED TO
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, STRATEGIC INSIGHTS AND RESEARCH
AT COMEDY CENTRAL®
NEW YORK, March 21, 2013 – Chanon Cook has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Strategic Insights and Research at COMEDY CENTRAL, it was announced by Tanya Giles, Executive Vice President, Strategic Insights and Research, Viacom Entertainment Group, to whom she reports.
In her new position, Cook will continue to oversee COMEDY CENTRAL’s research group, in addition to working closely with other members of the Entertainment Group to help advance its understanding of Millennials and their overall media usage. Cook will be responsible for advancing programming and brand development through research for COMEDY CENTRAL as well as providing key consumer insights to guide creative, actionable network strategy.

Before returning to COMEDY CENTRAL in 2006, Cook was Director, Research at Lifetime Television from 2004-06 and Director, Research and Planning at Universal Television Networks, joining them in 2002 after an earlier stint at COMEDY CENTRAL where she held positions as Finance Coordinator (1997-1999), Senior Analyst , Programing Research (1999-2000) and Manager, Programming Research (2000-2002).
Cook holds a MA from the New School University in New York. Her undergraduate BA degree was completed at Lyon College in Arkansas.
