NEW YORK, July 30, 2012 – COMEDY CENTRAL is gearing up for the mother of all Roasts! The network announced today an all-star roster of Roasters who, along with Roast Master Jane Lynch, are sure to give Roseanne a spanking. The “COMEDY CENTRAL Roast Of Roseanne” (#RoseanneRoast) will tape on Saturday, August 4 at the Hollywood Palladium and will premiere on Sunday, August 12 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on COMEDY CENTRAL.
Celebrity Roasters include the Academy Award®-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Sharon Stone; television and animation star Seth Green; the legendary performer and “Star Wars” Princess Leia, Carrie Fisher; and Golden Globe-winning actress Katey Sagal. This year’s Roasters also include comedians Anthony Jeselnik, Jeffrey Ross and Amy Schumer. Additional Roasters and talent to be in attendance will be announced shortly.
The “COMEDY CENTRAL Roast Of Roseanne” will be executive produced by Joel Gallen from Tenth Planet Productions, who also served as Executive Producer and Director of the COMEDY CENTRAL Roasts Of Charlie Sheen, Donald Trump, David Hasselhoff, Joan Rivers, Larry The Cable Guy, Bob Saget, Flavor-Flav, Pamela Anderson, as well as the Emmy-nominated “COMEDY CENTRAL Roast Of William Shatner.” Jonas Larsen is the Executive in Charge for the network.
