CHRIS SCARLATA PROMOTED TO
VICE PRESIDENT, DESIGN AT COMEDY CENTRAL®
NEW YORK, June 25, 2012 – Chris Scarlata has been promoted to Vice President, Design, at COMEDY CENTRAL, it was announced by Bob Salazar, Senior Vice President and Executive Creative Director, Brand Creative, to whom he reports.
Scarlata will oversee the promotional design of the COMEDY CENTRAL brand across all media. Scarlata and the design group will also work with talent and production teams to design and produce show opens and packaging for stand-up specials, events and new programming. This past year, Scarlata was a key creative member in transitioning the new COMEDY CENTRAL brand look and feel into the market, winning numerous industry awards and accolades in the process.
“Over the years, Chris and his talented team of designers have been recognized as true innovators in the design arena,” says Salazar. “As design has become an even more critical component in how we market on all media platforms, COMEDY CENTRAL could not have a better leader in Chris. We are lucky to have him.” Scarlata started with COMEDY CENTRAL as a designer in 1998 and has continued to grow and develop with the network through multiple redesigns and show launches. Most recently, he served as the Design Director for On-Air Promotions.
Prior to COMEDY CENTRAL, Scarlata was a designer at Howlett and Co. and also did freelance design work. He graduated from Rutgers University with Bachelor's Degrees in Fine Art/Graphic Design and Political Science.
