THE DAN BAND SIGNED TO COMEDY CENTRAL RECORDS®
FOR “THE WEDDING ALBUM” RELEASE

NEW YORK, April 24, 2012 – You may not be able to get Dan Finnerty to come sing at your wedding like he did in “Old School” and “The Hangover,” but COMEDY CENTRAL Records will be bringing you the next best thing with "The Wedding Album" by The Dan Band. The album will consist of studio version covers of both the most cheesy and most inappropriate songs to be played at a wedding, done Dan Band style, along with a few surprise celebrity duets.

"I get asked all the time to sing at weddings and I always say no to protect the grandmas from all of the swearing and crotch grabbing,” says Finnerty. “I wanted to make a Dan Band wedding album for people to play when everyone is good and drunk and all the grandmas have gone to bed. Or heaven."

What started as a joke for Finnerty singing “I Am Woman” at a karaoke bar has spiraled out of control into “The Dan Band” - a cult phenomenon that has garnered rave reviews from The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Variety, and Rolling Stone, among others, and prompted Entertainment Weekly to dub it “the hottest ticket in Hollywood.” Finnerty's act even caught the attention of Steven Spielberg, who signed on to executive produce the one-hour concert special. “The Dan Band: I Am Woman,” directed by McG.

The Dan Band plays to sold out crowds from Los Angeles to New York and has been featured on numerous shows including “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” "Ellen," "The Late Late Show," “Last Call with Carson Daly,” Spike TV's "Guys Choice Awards" and countless appearances on "The Tonight Show."

Finnerty, who has become a recognizable staple in the Todd Phillips franchise, has released two prior CDs, “The Dan Band Live,” followed by “Ho – A Dan Band Christmas."

Previously released recordings by COMEDY CENTRAL Records include: John Mulaney’s “New in Town,” Patton Oswalt's "Finest Hour," Lewis Black's "The Prophet," Louis C.K.'s "Hilarious," Bo Burnham's "WORDS, WORDS, WORDS," Mitch Hedberg's "Do You Believe in Gosh?," Dane Cook's platinum-selling "Harmful If Swallowed" and double-platinum "Retaliation," and the Grammy® Award-winning "Lewis Black: The Carnegie Hall Performance."
