NEW YORK, March 15, 2010 -- The teacher who strikes fear in the hearts of youths is back, and students beware – he’s after more than just sweat and tears. COMEDY CENTRAL brings viewers the Network Television Premiere of “Mr. Woodcock,” starring Seann William Scott, Billy Bob Thornton and Susan Sarandon, on Sunday, April 4 at 9:00 P.M.
Mr. Woodcock (Thornton) isn’t the average gym teacher. He’s unpleasant, unyielding and torturing students during gym class is what brings a smile to his face. John Farley (Scott), a former student, was humiliated to no end by Woodcock early on in life. Years later, John wrote a self-help book titled Letting Go based on his own painful junior high memories of Woodcock. While returning home to receive an award for his accomplishments, John discovers that his own mother (Sarandon) is dating the man John feared so intensely as a child. News of their engagement sends John overboard and he determines he'll do anything in his power to break up the relationship between his mother and Mr. Woodcock.
