NEW YORK, January 29, 2007 -- COMEDY CENTRAL has once again teamed up with Jamie Foxx to present "Jamie Foxx's Laffapalooza '07," a one-hour stand-up special taped in Atlanta, GA at the 2006 LAFFAPALOOZA! Festival, the world's premiere urban comedy brand. Hosted by comedian Anthony Anderson and featuring a special musical performance from Academy AwardŽ-winning actor, comedian and singer Jamie Foxx, "Jamie Foxx's Laffapalooza '07" will premiere on Saturday, February 24 at 10:00 p.m.
Encore presentations of "Jamie Foxx's Laffapalooza '07" will air Saturday, February 24 at 1:00 a.m. and Tuesday, February 27 at 10:00 p.m. and midnight.
This year's special is hosted by Anthony Anderson ("Barbershop," "Hustle & Flow") and features performances from the rising stars of urban comedy including Pat Brown, Corey Miller, Rickey Smiley, Kevin Hart, Maronzio Vance, and Talent. Adding to the excitement of the night is a rousing musical performance by event founder Jamie Foxx singing "Warm Bed" off his hit album, "Unpredictable."
LAFFAPALOOZA! is known worldwide as the premiere urban comedy event where producers, writers, directors, superstar comedians and "New Faces in Urban Comedy" are all featured during the four-day Festival in seminars, panels and performances. Another feature of the annual LAFFAPALOOZA! Festival is the "New Faces in Urban Comedy International" talent search for the next breakthrough urban comic.
