NEW YORK, October 4, 2006 -- Demetri Martin's incredibly acerbic, relaxed observational humor will be hitting the road. Kicking-off on October 5 at the Spreckels Theatre in San Diego, "COMEDY CENTRAL LIVE! Demetri Martin: These Are Jokes Tour" presented by Windows Vista will travel to more than 25 cities nationwide (see list at the end of the release) in support of his first stand-up CD/DVD "These Are Jokes" released via COMEDY CENTRAL Records on September 26.

Tour info and links to purchase tickets are accessible at www.comedycentral.com.

"Demetri Martin: These Are Jokes" is a live stand-up CD and DVD combo. The CD features 13 tracks loaded with over an hour's worth of Martin's unique view on life and everyday occurrences. The DVD contains his "COMEDY CENTRAL Presents" special and loads of special features including original animations by Martin, early performances, commentaries, photos, songs and hidden features. Also included in the package is a poster hand painted by the comedian.

While on tour, Martin will tape a one-hour stand-up special for COMEDY CENTRAL which will be presented by Windows Vista, at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, TX on November 18. The special is scheduled to premiere January 2007.

Martin's stand-up tour is one part of a multi-platform performance. With the help of Windows Vista, Martin is sharing his personal experience and inimitable observations with his audience through a unique Web site, www.clearification.com, a series of webfilms documenting his progress, his stand-up tour and the one-hour special on COMEDY CENTRAL.

He is in the process of penning screenplays for Dreamworks, Sony and Thousand Words. He will have a role in each of these films. Martin has written for NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and performed on the show multiple times. His other appearances include "Late Night with David Letterman," "Last Call with Carson Daly" and as a contributing correspondent on COMEDY CENTRAL's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart."

"COMEDY CENTRAL Live!" is the network's successful tour business venture working with today's leading comedians. Currently, "COMEDY CENTRAL LIVE! Carlos Mencia: The Punisher Tour" is traveling to more than 54 cities nationwide. His rabid fan base has been scooping up tickets at such an accelerated rate that tour promoters added more than 30 additional shows to the original schedule.
