CARLOS MENCIA LETS LOOSE ON COMEDY CENTRAL'S?
"CARLOS MENCIA: NO STRINGS ATTACHED"
PREMIERES SUNDAY, MARCH 12 AT 10:00 P.M.*

The Second Season Of The Critically-Acclaimed "Mind of Mencia" Premiere
March 22 At 10:30 P.M.

NEW YORK, Feb. 22, 2006 -- Fresh off the success of the first season of "Mind of Mencia," COMEDY CENTRAL's most honest comedian is back with his own original stand-up special. "Carlos Mencia: No Strings Attached" was taped in front of a live audience at San Francisco's Warfield Theater on January 20 and premieres Sunday, March 12 at 10:00 p.m. only on COMEDY CENTRAL.

"Carlos Mencia: No Strings Attached," repeats March 12 at 12:00 a.m. and Friday, March 24 at 10:00 p.m.

In this special, the culturally-charged Mencia rides onto the stage with his blunt and unforgiving style and takes aim at American diversity, the U.S. border, terrorists, the Pope and the stupidity he sees all around him in the hilarious COMEDY CENTRAL one-hour stand-up special.

"Carlos Mencia: No Strings Attached," is the ninth installment of COMEDY CENTRAL's one-hour stand-up showcase. The special follows "DL Hughley: Shocked & Appalled," "Patton Oswalt: No Reason to Complain," "The Book Of David: The Cult Figure's Manifesto Starring David Alan Grier," "Jay Mohr: My Turn," "Wanda Sykes: Tongue Untied," "Tracy Morgan: One Mic," "Jim Breuer: Hardcore" and "Kevin James: Sweat the Small Stuff," establishing COMEDY CENTRAL as the home for premium stand-up specials.

Known for his unflinching and hilarious opinions, Mencia is able to connect with a diverse audience by pointing out society's hypocrisy, which has made him one of the most successful comedians in the country. He has released numerous live recorded albums including "Take A Joke America," by Warner Bros Records and "America Rules," which features an hour of material that deals with the events of September 11. Last year, StudioWorks Entertainment released his first retail DVD, "Carlos Mencia: Not For the Easily Offended." Mencia's film credits include "Three Amigos Live In Concert" and the independent films, "Outta' Time" and "29 Palms." His television credits include guest-starring roles on "The Shield" and "The Bernie Mac Show," as well as two solo HBO specials and appearances on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," "HBO's Loco Slam" and "Comic Relief VI." Already well-known by COMEDY CENTRAL viewers, Mencia's half-hour special, as part of the "COMEDY CENTRAL Presents" franchise, consistently performs well and his video clips are among the most requested stand-up clips on comedycentral.com.

Shot in the studio and on location, "Mind Of Mencia" is based on Mencia's unique point of view of the world including such topics as ethnic stereotypes, race relations, immigration, war, patriotism, capitalism and family, commented upon with brutal honesty and unrelenting provocation. The show includes Mencia's views on pop culture and current events, man-on-the-street interviews and commercial parodies, as well as interaction with the studio audience. The second season of "Mind of Mencia" debuts on Wednesday, March 22 at 10:30 p.m.

COMEDY CENTRAL offers a variety of original stand-up comedy programs and specials. The network features stand-up series such as "Premium Blend" and "COMEDY CENTRAL Presents," as well as one-hour specials created exclusively for COMEDY CENTRAL.
