NEW YORK, January 24, 2006—Toga! Toga! COMEDY CENTRAL is taking the laughs on the road to college campus across the country. Comedian Mike Birbiglia will kick–off a nationwide college stand-up tour, "COMEDY CENTRAL Live starring Mike Birbiglia: The Medium Man On Campus Tour," at New York University on Thursday, February 9. The tour is sponsored by Nintendo DS and Volkswagen. In addition to his tour, COMEDY CENTRAL Records is releasing Birbiglia's combination CD/DVD "Mike Birbiglia: Two Drink Mike," on Tuesday, February 7, it will be available in stores nationwide and at shop.comedycentral.com.
"Mike Birbiglia: Two Drink Mike" is uncensored and contains two full–length CD/DVDs. The CD was recorded live during his stand–up show at The Improv, Washington, DC. The DVD contains material from Birbiglia's COMEDY CENTRAL performances on "Premium Blend," "COMEDY CENTRAL Presents" and "Shorties Watchin' Shorties."
"COMEDY CENTRAL Live starring Mike Birbiglia: The Medium Man On Campus Tour " will headline Mike Birbiglia and feature performances from up–and–coming comedian John Mulaney and other special guests. Mulaney is one of the creators and performers on "I Love The Thirties," an original series on COMEDY CENTRAL's broadband channel "MotherLoad."
