Bakkedahl has signed on as a new correspondent on the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart." His first field piece "Bumvertising," investigating the latest trend in cutting-edge advertising is scheduled to debut on Tuesday, September 20 at 11:00 p.m.
The "Daily Show" News Team includes Jon Stewart, correspondents Samantha Bee, Rob Corddry and Ed Helms and contributing correspondent Lewis Black.
"We looked at a lot of bogus reporters and Dan had the best fake credentials we could find," said Stewart Bailey, co-executive producer.
Bakkedahl is a graduate of the Florida State University School of Theater. He has worked extensively in theatre across the country including a five-year stint with The Second City in Chicago. While with The Second City, Bakkedahl wrote and performed in their 90th revue, "Doors Open on the Right."
