STAND-UP CD ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 25


NEW YORK, January 14, 2005 -- Like a volcano ready to blow, "The Daily Show's" Lewis Black is steaming with comedic rage about everything happening in the world. "Lewis Black: Luther Burbank Performing Arts Center Blues" stand-up CD will be available in stores nationwide and on comedycentral.com on Tuesday, January 25 via COMEDY CENTRAL Records.

"Lewis Black: Luther Burbank Performing Arts Center Blues" stand-up CD was recorded on June 18, 2004 at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa, CA. The CD features Black's rants on topics such as the MTV Superbowl Halftime Show debacle, gay marriage, Michael Jackson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ronald Reagan, the Iraqi War, nipple clamps, voting and more.

In 2003, COMEDY CENTRAL Records released "Lewis Black: Rules Of Enragement" CD and COMEDY CENTRAL Home Entertainment released the "Lewis Black: Unleashed" DVD.

Lewis Black is known as the unstoppable, loose-cannon political, topical and weekly commentator of the "Back in Black" segment on COMEDY CENTRAL's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" since 1996. Born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, Black has also found a home on the stage as an actor, playwright and stand-up comedian. A graduate of the prestigious Yale School of Drama, his television acting credits include "Homicide" and "Mad About You." As a stand-up comedian, he has performed at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, numerous clubs across the country including New York's "Caroline's" and Boston's "Comedy Connection" and regularly appears on "The Conan O' Brien Show." Black also received the 2001 American Comedy Award for "Best Male Stand-Up."
