"SOUTH PARK" TRIUMPHANTLY RETURNS (WE THINK) WITH SEVEN NEW EPISODES
ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 27 AT 10:00 P.M.* ON COMEDY CENTRAL®
NEW YORK, October 18, 2004 -- From "Team America" marionettes to America's favorite foul-mouthed fourth-graders, will "South Park" creators be able to get on down to South Park in time to create a new episode? Find out when we do when the second half of the series' eighth season is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, October 27 at 10:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL.
Previously this year, Kyle, Stan, Kenny and Cartman were transformed into Japanese anime warriors; Jimmy got caught up in a doping scandal; Butters was duped into believing that Cartman was a real robot; Kyle suffered through "The Passion Of The Christ" (and Cartman met his hero, Mel Gibson); Butters sadly massacred more innocent victims with his tap shoe; South Park was invaded by humans from the future; and the cops brought the smackdown on a wealthy black man, Mr. Jefferson.
Launched in 1997, "South Park" remains the highest-rated series on COMEDY CENTRAL. "South Park" repeats Fridays at 12:00 a.m., Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. and Sundays at 11:00 p.m.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone are co-creators and executive producers of the Emmy-nominated "South Park," with Anne Garefino also serving as executive producer.
