Rob O’Neill is Vice President of Programming & Promotion Strategy for COMEDY CENTRAL. He reports to David Bernath, Executive Vice President, Program Strategy and Multiplatform Programming.

In his position at COMEDY CENTRAL, O’Neill ensures a cohesive programming plan is in place for the network and develops launch schedules for all series, specials and network tentpoles while managing the overall schedule in order to drive growth.

O’Neill left ICM in 1997 to join The Walt Disney Company and become a participant in leveraging brand leader Disney Channel from a premium to a basic cable television service. Following his tenure at Disney Channel, he joined the launch team of Toon Disney (now Disney XD). O’Neill was one of the first employees of SOAPnet, the only network to offer same-day episodes of popular daytime dramas including “All My Children,” “Days of our Lives,” “One Life to Live,” “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless,” with favorite primetime series/acquisitions “Gilmore Girls,” “The O.C.,” “One Tree Hill” and “Beverly Hills 90210”. In addition, he served as creative executive on several original programs including “Live! From the Red Carpet,” celebrating the annual Emmy Awards®.

After nine years in Programming Strategy and Acquisitions, O’Neill left Disney to become Vice President of Program Scheduling for Turner’s Cartoon Network & Boomerang services. Under his watch, CN saw unprecedented ratings gains.
