Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs - West Coast
Michael Tenzer is Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, West Coast, reporting to George Cheeks, EVP & Co-General Counsel, Business and Legal Affairs Headquarters, Viacom Media Networks. He is based in the Network’s Los Angeles headquarters.
A tough negotiator and accomplished business strategist, Tenzer has strong relationships with the agents and lawyers with whom the network negotiates every day, ensuring that COMEDY CENTRAL’s interests are well represented.
Tenzer joined COMEDY CENTRAL from International Creative Management (ICM) where he had been Senior Vice President and Head of Television Business Affairs, responsible for the supervision and administration of all business affairs aspects of the agency’s television business. Prior to joining ICM in 1999, he was Senior Vice President, Business Affairs and Administration at NBC (1998), Vice President, Business Affairs at Brillstein-Grey Entertainment (1996-98), Vice President, Business Affairs at NBC (1987-96) and held the same title at Dick Clark Productions from 1984-87.
Tenzer holds a JD from California Western School of Law, a BA from San Diego State University and has completed post-graduate studies at the University of Salzburg, Austria.
