Senior Vice President, Production
Megan Ring is Senior Vice President, Production, reporting to Momita Sengupta, Senior Vice President, Production, Viacom Entertainment Group. Ring is based in the network's New York City offices.
Ring oversees COMEDY CENTRAL's bi-coastal Production department, which is responsible for physical production of the network’s original series, special, events, development and short form production. In addition to managing these aspects of the network's broadcast content, Ring also contributes to long-term strategic budgeting and planning at the channel.
Before joining COMEDY CENTRAL in 2003, Ring was a freelance Producer/Line Producer in Los Angeles. Her primary focus was independent dramas and children’s entertainment often involving production overseas. She started her media career in San Francisco as a Scheduler at a post production facility before moving to Los Angeles where she held a staff production position at Tapestry Films. Ring followed this up with freelance producing as well as project based consulting work at iFilm and Fox TV Studios before returning to her native NY in ’02.
Ring holds a BA degree in English from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
