Lou Wallach
Senior Vice President, Original Programming - Television & Digital Development

Lou Wallach was named senior vice president, original programming and development, COMEDY CENTRAL, in June 2004 and in August 2005, added original broadband series development to his portfolio of responsibilities.

Based in New York City, Wallach is charged with tapping into Manhattan's vibrant comedy scene and talent community and is responsible for the development and production for all of COMEDY CENTRAL's original pilots and series on the east coast as well as overseeing all stand-up series programming, including "Live at Gotham," the networks first multi-platform stand-up franchise. He also supervises the development and production of original content for COMEDY CENTRAL's programming expansion into new digital platforms, such as Atom.com and the Emmy-nominated comedycentral.com.

Wallach joined COMEDY CENTRAL in 2000 as vice president, east coast development. Since then, he has been instrumental in developing such highly regarded television projects as the award-winning megahit "Chappelle's Show," "Crank Yankers" and the single camera comedy narrative, "Stella." He has been a key player in developing and supervising production of many others shows including "Insomniac with Dave Attell," Robert Smigel's "TV Funhouse" and the documentary series "Heroes of Black Comedy."

A highly respected speaker at digital conferences throughout the industry, Wallach led the network's pioneering foray into the development and production of over 30 original series launched on comedycentral's online and mobile platforms including "The Watch List," "Test Pilots," Emmy nominated "Baxter & McGuire" and Emmy-nominated and Webby Award-winning "Honesty" and Telly Award-winning "I Love The 30's."

Prior to joining the network, Wallach was director, creative affairs at Fox Television Studios in Los Angeles since 1997 where he was responsible for the development and production of series programming for a variety of genres, including comedy, drama, reality, game, talk and non-fiction, including FX's "Son of the Beach." Before that he was manager of comedy development at CBS Entertainment, where he worked on the development of "Everybody Loves Raymond" and earlier had stints in the primetime series area at NBC Entertainment and at the William Morris Agency in the television packaging department.

Wallach holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Northwestern University. He resides in Manhattan with his wife and two children.
