Senior Vice President, Original Programming and Development - East Coast
Lisa Leingang is senior vice president, original programming and development, east coast, for COMEDY CENTRAL. She is based at the network's New York headquarters and reports to Lauren Corrao, president, original programming and development. In this role, Leingang oversees development and production of all COMEDY CENTRAL original pilots and series based on the east coast.
Prior to joining COMEDY CENTRAL, Leingang spent four years at CBS Entertainment as vice president, primetime programming and development. In that post, she oversaw development of scripted series, working with top talent including Tracy Letts, Rob Riggle and Alex Gibney, among others. She also handled the current executive duties on east coast-based pilots and series including “Love Monkey,” “3LBS,” and “The Good Wife” as well as covering the international market. Additionally, she produced a monthly comedy showcase of top New York comedic talent. Prior to CBS, she spent seven years at NBC Studios/Universal Media Studios as vice president, comedy development, where she secured the first TV development deal for “Flight of the Conchords” after seeing them perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She also developed the first TV projects with Broken Lizard and Demetri Martin, among others.
Before her tenure at CBS Entertainment and NBC Studios/Universal Media Studios, Leingang was director, development at MTV in Los Angeles. Leingang holds a BA in English from Boston College.
