Vice President, Public Responsibility - COMEDY CENTRAL and Spike TV
As vice president, public responsibility, Dulany is responsible for spearheading pro-social and diversity initiatives for COMEDY CENTRAL and Spike TV. These initiatives focus on specific issues that resonate with viewers and address topical, socially relevant concerns through PSAs, digital media, grass roots and philanthropic outreach.
At Spike TV, Dulany has formed the True Dads initiative which is designed to encourage responsible fathering and provide the tools and resources to fathers to improve their parenting skills. At COMEDY CENTRAL, she instituted a major new pro-social program, Address the Mess, which is geared to reducing waste and reviving the planet.
Furthering both networks’ focus on diversity and inclusion, Dulany also manages “COMEDY CENTRAL Summer School,” targeting young comedy writers of color, and Posse Scholars program working in partnership with the national Posse organization to provide a diverse pool of college students with unique internship opportunities to learn about all facets of the television industry.
Prior to taking on this new role within MTV Networks, Dulany was vice president of promotion marketing for COMEDY CENTRAL, responsible for delivering compelling, creative and strategic added-value sponsorship packages for advertisers was well as raising the network’s profile within the entertainment tour industry. Before joining the network in 2000, she served as the director of promotions and retail strategic marketing at Discovery Networks and, earlier, held the position of director of marketing and catering sales for North Star Management. She was catering sales manager for the Capital Hotel Group; Doubletree Hotel from 1994 to 1995.
Dulany hold a BS degree from the University of Maryland.
