Head of Sales for Viacom Media Networks Music and Entertainment Group
Jeff Lucas is currently the Head of Sales for Viacom Media Networks Music and Entertainment Group representing MTV, MTV2, MTVU, MTV Hits, MTV Jams, VH1, VH1 Classic, LOGO, Palladia, COMEDY CENTRAL, Spike TV and TV Land and CMT, CMT Pure Country. He oversees all Linear Sales, Digital Sales and Integrated Marketing for these channels. Lucas was elevated to this role in December 2010.
Lucas joined Viacom in May of 2005 as Senior Vice President of COMEDY CENTRAL advertising sales and marketing. In February of 2007, he was elevated to Executive Vice President, MTV Network's Entertainment Group Sales & Marketing.
Prior to joining Viacom, (2002 to 2005), Lucas was President of Advertising Sales, Marketing and Cross-Platform Initiatives for the Universal Television Group/NBC Universal Cable Group. In this position, he oversaw the advertising sales and marketing of Universal Television Group’s/NBC Universal's cable assets - USA Network, Bravo, SCI FI Channel, Trio and NewsWorld International.
Before joining the Universal Television Group, Lucas served as Vice President of Olympic Sales and Marketing for the NBC Television Network. In this role, he was responsible for the generation of record sales revenue for the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, and the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. In his career at NBC (1982-2002), Lucas has also held the positions of Vice President, Daytime/Late Night/Teen/All-Night Sales; Director of Primetime Special Program Sales, as well as various other sales and finance positions.
He resides in Long Island with his family.
