Senior Vice President, National Ad Sales
As Senior Vice President, National Ad Sales for COMEDY CENTRAL, Gary Merrifield supervises the ad sales office in Detroit. He was hired in July 1993 after one year at the Cable News Network (CNN), and prior to that, 8½ years at Eastman Radio. Outside of his responsibilities at COMEDY CENTRAL, Merrifield also oversees MTV, VH1, Spike TV, CMT and TV Land in Michigan, Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
When speaking of his job at COMEDY CENTRAL, Merrifield says, "It’s rewarding to help advertisers connect with COMEDY CENTRAL’s affluent young audience."
Merrifield and his wife, Donna, have two sons, Michael and Matthew.
