Douglas P. Johnson
Vice President, Comedy Central Production, Short Form

Douglas Johnson, Vice President Short Form Production, is chiefly responsible for leading and developing COMEDY CENTRAL’s production team, physically producing and working with COMEDY CENTRAL’s On-Air, marketing and creative teams, as well as outside production companies to produce some of the most dynamic, award winning, on-air promos, branded content, and image campaigns. Recent projects include "The Roast of Charlie Sheen" promos, "Workaholics" Season 3 promos, "Tosh.0" promos, "Indecision 'War Room'" Image Campaign, "John Oliver and Friends" show open, and "South Beach Comedy Festival" interstitials, to name a few.

In additional to his short form responsibilities, Johnson has jumped into long form territory by covering Comedy "COMEDY CENTRAL Stand-Up: The Bonnaroo Experience," "John Oliver's' New York Stand-Up Show" Seasons 1-3, "Michael and Michel Have Issues" Series, "Bo Burnham" Stand-Up Special, and other presentations and pilots.

Prior to joining COMEDY CENTRAL, Douglas founded Mega Productions, which produced content for dozens of media clients. He was also co-owner of Brass Knuckles – an LA based commercial editorial boutique.

Douglas got his start in the entertainment industry in the early 90’s producing and production managing commercials and music videos.

A native of Northern California, Douglas received a B.F.A in Television and Film from New York University. He is a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight, providing patients and their families with air transportation to needed critical health care facilities in and around the Northeast.
