Vice President, Comedy Central Production, Short Form
Douglas Johnson, Vice President Short Form Production, is chiefly responsible for leading and developing COMEDY CENTRAL’s production team, physically producing and working with COMEDY CENTRAL’s On-Air, marketing and creative teams, as well as outside production companies to produce some of the most dynamic, award winning, on-air promos, branded content, and image campaigns.
In addition to his short form responsibilities, Johnson has jumped into long form territory by most recently covering “Adam Devine’s House Party”, “John Oliver’s’ New York Stand-Up Show” and “COMEDY CENTRAL Stand-Up: The Bonnaroo Experience”.
Prior to joining COMEDY CENTRAL, Douglas founded Mega Productions, which produced content for dozens of media clients. He was also co-owner of Brass Knuckles – an LA based commercial editorial boutique.
Douglas got his start in the entertainment industry by producing and production managing commercials and music videos.
A native of Northern California, Douglas received a B.F.A in Television and Film from New York University. He is a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight, providing patients and their families with air transportation to needed critical health care facilities in and around the Northeast.
