Dan Yang
Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development - MTV Networks Entertainment Group

Dan Yang is senior vice president, strategy and business development, for MTV Networks' Entertainment Group which is comprised of a multi-platform portfolio of brands featuring the COMEDY CENTRAL, Spike TV and TV Land cable channels as well as Internet sites Atom.com and GameTrailers.com. Based in the Group's New York City offices and reporting to John Cucci, chief operating officer for the Group, Yang was formerly vice president, business operations, MTVN Music Group Program Enterprises.

Yang oversees all strategy and business development activities for the Group, providing strategic analysis and long-range planning for all existing businesses, as well as identifying and recommending potential new business opportunities. A talented executive, Yang brings experience and expertise to his role of growing the Group’s brands on multiple linear and digital platforms and in other ancillary fashions, as well as evaluating and developing new complementary growth opportunities for the Group such as the South Park Studios digital joint venture.

In his prior roles at MTV Networks' Music Group, which he joined in 2004, Yang was charged with strategic planning for all of the off-channel businesses, including home video, video games, syndication, direct to video films, and consumer products. In 2005, he was given responsibility for business development of the Music Group, overseeing the acquisition and implementation of Harmonix Music Systems as well as the operation of MTV Puerto Rico. Previously, Yang had served as senior director of business development and strategy for the Group. Prior to MTVN, Yang was a business strategy consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton in the communications, media and technology practice.

Yang holds a BA degree from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
