Vice President, Specials
Christian McLaughlin is Vice President, Specials, for COMEDY CENTRAL. He is based in the network’s New York City office and reports to Jonas Larsen, Senior Vice President, Talent and Specials. McLaughlin works on the current slate of specials, stand-up series, and events, as well as spearheading the development efforts for the department in New York.
McLaughlin came to COMEDY CENTRAL from Bravo, where he worked as Vice President, Production since 2010 overseeing series including “Flipping Out” seasons 5 and 6, “Chef Roble and Co.” seasons 1 and 2, “Rocco’s Dinner Party,” “Work of Art” season 2, “Fashion Hunters,” “Gallery Girls,” and “Start-Ups: Silicon Valley.” He was also an Executive on Bravo’s nightly live talk show, “Watch What Happens Live.”
Before Bravo, McLaughlin worked as an Executive Producer in Development and Production at VH1. He oversaw the development and production of a number of pilots and series including “Love and Hip Hop” season 1, “Ego Trip’s: The White Rapper Show,” “Miss Rap Supreme,” “Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp” season 7, “The Shot,” and “Broke and Famous: Willie Aames,” among others.
Prior to joining VH1, McLaughlin served as Supervising Producer on Howard Stern’s syndicated Saturday night show, “The Howard Stern Radio Show”. He also did producing stints on talkies “Live with Regis and Kelly” and “The Caroline Rhea Show.”
McLaughlin began his career in New York City in local news at WNBC as a writer, producer and director in on-air promotion where he was the recipient of 5 local Emmy awards, a Promax gold award and a Writers Guild of America award.
McLaughlin holds a BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
