Chanon Cook
Vice President, Programming Research - COMEDY CENTRAL and Atom

Seasoned research executive Chanon Cook is vice president, programming research for COMEDY CENTRAL and Atom, components of MTV Networks' newly-formed Entertainment Group. Cook is based in New York and reports to Tanya Giles, senior vice president, research, for the Entertainment Group.

Cook is responsible for advancing programming and brand development for COMEDY CENTRAL and Atom as well as providing key research to guide creative, actionable network strategy. She will also work closely with other members of the Entertainment Group, advancing its understanding of men and their overall media usage.

Before taking on this current position, Cook was senior director, programming research, for COMEDY CENTRAL, a job she held since 2006. Prior to that Cook was director, research at Lifetime Television from 2004-06 and director, research and planning at Universal Television, USA Networks, joining them in 2002 after an earlier stint at COMEDY CENTRAL where she held positions as finance coordinator (1997-1999), senior analyst, programming research (1999-2000) and manager, programming research (2000-2002).

Cook holds a MA from the New School University in New York. Her undergraduate BA degree was completed at Lyon College in Arkansas.
