Vice President, West Coast Ad Sales
As Vice President of West Coast Ad Sales for COMEDY CENTRAL, Brian Bloodgood is responsible for all West Coast billing, account stewardship and client coverage in the respective territory. His ad sales team of six covers all national advertisers and agencies in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Las Vegas and all prospective markets in between. More than forty percent of COMEDY CENTRAL’s ad revenue is effected by the efforts of the West Coast ad sales team. Priority categories for Bloodgood and his team are movie studios, foreign automotive and video games, primarily located on the West Coast. Another principal responsibility he shares with his marketing counterpart is managing COMEDY CENTRAL’s strategic programming/marketing partnerships with the movie studios.
Prior to his move West in 1998, Bloodgood served as a COMEDY CENTRAL Account Executive for more than two years, covering various agencies in NYC, as well as the Southeast United States. Before he began delivering punchlines at COMEDY CENTRAL, he worked in the world of sports for several years selling commercial time and integrated sponsorships for ESPN and OCC Sports. The foundation of his advertising career was built on the agency side, where he worked for four years at DMB&B/TeleVest and J. Walter Thompson.
Bloodgood graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1990 from the University of Florida, home of the Fightin’ Gators. Outside of the office, he, his wife Monica and two children, Sierra and Gunnison, and enjoy taking advantage of the West Coast geography. You can usually catch them at the beach, the mountains, or a local ball yard.
