Vice President, Digital Development
Allison Kingsley is Vice President of Digital Development, COMEDY CENTRAL. She oversees the digital originals slate and the creation of programming for the network's digital platforms. Working in conjunction with integrated marketing and sales, she is responsible for developing and initiating branded-entertainment projects. The position reports into the Viacom Entertainment Group digital organization and Comedy Central’s development team.
Kingsley was previously Vice President, Digital at Ovation TV where she was responsible for the day-to-day management of the group, including fiscal and editorial oversight of Ovationtv.com, integrating on air/branded initiatives into the digital platform, developing the award-winning Ovation social community of artists, and supervised growth of all social media platforms.
In addition to her strong digital media skills, Kingsley has had an extensive background in television production and comedy development. She has produced the long-running comedy, “Beverly Winwood Presents: The Actors Showcase,” featuring a cast of 20 comedians including Melissa McCarthy, Jennifer Coolidge, Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman), Jim Rash (Community/Descendents) and Cheryl Hines. Beverly Winwood played to sold-out houses at The Groundling and Renberg Theaters in addition to the San Fran Sketch Fest in January.
Kingsley also served as Programming Consultant for Egotv.com where she worked with the new media start up to create original video series and programming, develop distribution and marketing strategies that increased views and encouraged interaction from users.
She was also General Manager and Co-Founder of Bushleaguetv.com, a comedic sports and video game site funded by DECA and designed for the 18-34 male demo. Kingsley was responsible for executing all aspects of launching a digital property including design, project management of site infrastructure, editorial, marketing, community outreach, supervising ad sales team and content development.
Kingsley’s digital development and producing experience also includes stints at ABC, Lionsgate, Warner Bros. 2.0, Bravo, Fox 21, and Fox Studios, producing a variety of projects including serving as Executive Producer/Creator of a pilot for Fox and VH1 featuring Nick Swardson, Chris Hardwick and Sarah Silverman and Co-Executive Producer for a comedy pilot created by Rob Roy Thomas. She was also Executive Director of The Groundlings, managing the famed comedy club and producing over 50 comedic productions featuring such talent as Will Ferrell, Kristen Wigg and Kathy Griffin, in addition to supervising the management of the Groundling School.
