Bakkedahl is a former correspondent on the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart." His first field piece was "Bumvertising," investigating the latest trend in cutting-edge advertising.
"We looked at a lot of bogus reporters and Dan had the best fake credentials we could find," said Stewart Bailey, co-executive producer.
Bakkedahl is a graduate of the Florida State University School of Theater. He has worked extensively in theatre across the country including a five year stint with The Second City in Chicago. While with The Second City, Bakkedahl wrote and performed in their 90th revue "Doors Open on the Right." He is also a founding member of the groundbreaking improv groups ZUMPF, 4 Square, and Train Wreck at Chicago's most creative venue the IO (formerly Improv Olympic, thanks Olympic committee).
