About Chris Mata

Chris Mata is from Converse, TX.

After being a martial arts instructor for several years, he made a seamless shift to standup comedy.

In 2002, just four years into it, he became a finalist in the San Francisco Comedy Competition.

He moved to New York in February of 2004, then to Los Angeles in March of 2005. Now considered "bi-coastal", Chris works most of the major clubs in both cities.
