Lizz Winstead is widely recognized as a top female political comic, writer and producer. Her one-person shows, "Don't Get Me Started" and "Stream of Consciousness," first put her on the political humor map. Playing to packed theaters in Boston and Minneapolis, Lizz proved she could tackle emotionally charged issues with raucous humor and sharp insight.
She was a co-creator and former head of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," earning praise from critics for her refreshing and innovative ideas. She also was the creator, executive producer and star of the critically acclaimed special "Unauthorized Biography: Milo, the Death of a Supermodel," and has produced segments of "The Jon Stewart Show" and Comedy Central's "Women Aloud."
Lizz was nominated Best Female Club Performer by The American Comedy Awards and has made numerous television appearances, including HBO's ?Women of the Night," "Politically Incorrect," and CNN's "Jeff Greenfield at Large."
Today she is the SVP of Programming for Air America Radio, the new liberal talk radio network, and will co-host the show Unfiltered 5 days a week from 9 am to noon.
