Q: What's the first joke you ever wrote?
A: I don't recall the exact joke, but it was a clever and unexpected turn on a classic bit involving circles, dots, and inoculations for cooties... It was very edgy for grade school.
Q: What is the source of your sense of humor?
A: A desperate longing to find someone to sit with during 9th grade lunch. Really, would it have killed them to have assigned seating?
Q: In school, were you the class clown or the quiet nerd?
A: I was both the class nerd and the quiet clown.
Q: Is it better to be feared or loved on your way up the comedy ladder?
A: It is better to be loved. But this is show business - don't expect kisses and hugs from the headliner. Love what you do, respect others, and fear nothing. Oh. and speak in soundbites.
Q: Your stardom: a karmic inevitability or old fashioned luck?
A: It is inevitable that I will work hard, hold my head high, and hopefully make some people smile along the way. If I accomplish that, then I will unquestionably be a star. How brightly I shine is up to the Universe.
