Rescued from a crashed rocket ship in a Kansas cornfield, Andre was adopted and raised in a small town along with his brother Clark.
Actually, he's the cornfed, beef-eating, milk-drinking, hay-bailing, thick-ass countryboy that Instinct magazine calls, "refreshingly defiant." And, he's the only Black comic in the entire country who's never, ever, ever appeared on B.E.T.
He's standup's best-known gay, comic farmboy. He's appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, VH1's Best Week Ever and both Si TV's Latino Laugh Festival and Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Andre's a headlining comic with Atlantis Cruises and a featured performer at LA clubs the Laugh Factory, The Improv and the Pasadena Ice House. He appeared at Aspen's Gay Ski Week, the Chicago Comedy Festival, Miami Light Project's "Come Out Laughing," and twice at the Michigan Gay & Lesbian Comedy Fest. Profiled in the documentary Outlaugh, he'll also be featured in Laughing Matters: The Men.
Currently penning comedy specials Cornfed, Chick Magnet and The New Black, he's happily riding what he calls the "Brokeback Effect." Having done over 500 shows in 45 states, audiences nationwide, are discovering Andre's broad yet specific appeal.
