The Hazzards are Sydney Maresca & Anne Harris. They have been playing the ukulele together in NYC since meeting at a party in 2000. Originally known as "The Ukes of Hazzard", they recently shortened their name to stay on the right side of the law.

With over a million downloads of their video "Gay Boyfriend", The Hazzards are truly an international sensation. A dance remix of the single, produced by the world reknowned hit-maker Mike Stock, was released in the UK this fall on Better the Devil Records.

After an impressive debut at "Eating Out" at Irving Plaza, the Hazzards have been charming audiences all over New York City. Shows include The First Annual New York Burlesque Festival, The First Annual Emerging Comics of New York Awards, The Knitting Factory, Luna Lounge, Stand-Up New York, Ars Nova, Galapagos, and North Sixth. They also appeared at the Uke Expo 2001 in Montclair, NJ, Uke Expo 2003 in Providence, RI. They will be on Comedy Central's hour-long special "Out on the Edge" in January 2004.

Sydney is a fashion designer and costume designer for theater, dance and film. Anne sings, dances, and plays street hockey. They take the G train to practice at each other's Brooklyn apartments.
