Born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1971, Raúl launched his entertainment career at an early age. When he was seven years old, he began acting and singing on the stage including comedy, children's and musicals.

After five years as host of Venezuela's top-rated kid's show, "Supercrópolis," Raúl made a life-changing decision: he relocated to Florida, determined to conquer the Hispanic market. Based in Miami, he worked as a producer of programming for TSN, Panda Club (cartoon network in Spain) and the Latin music video network HTV. He also created and hosted the specials "Supercomix" and "Mini Maxi Mundo de Raúl," which were acquired by several television channels in Latin America.

Gonzalez's other credits includeinclude dubbing movies and doing voiceovers for commercials and cartoons.He is the voice of five characters at Disney's Celebración Navideña, a national broadcasted radio show

During his career, Raúl received many prestigious awards such as the ACE award (Best TV host 2005), Latin Club of America- Excellence Award (Male TV personality of the year), El Paisano (Best TV host), Orchid USA (Best entertainment and variety host 2005), TV y Notas (Most versatile TV host 2005), South Florida Air Award (Best Spanish afternoon DJ), Meridiano de Oro, Venus de la Prensa, Premio Ronda, Tamanaco de Oro, Sol de Aruba and Premio de la Casa del Artista for best children's show.

He is currently the co-host of Despierta América, Univision Network's live morning news/entertainment show.
