Ben Garant was born in Cookeville, Tennessee. He spent the early nineties appearing in Off-off Broadway theaters (bars) in New York City with the comedy group "The State." "The State" had a three-year run on MTV, which led to a forty-four minute run on CBS. He then created, wrote, produced and occasionally appeared in three seasons of "Viva Variety" on COMEDY CENTRAL. The show's last season was relocated to Los Angeles, California. Since relocating, he and his creative partner Tom Lennon have written feature film scripts for Spyglass, Imagine, Fox, Warner Brothers, Columbia, and Universal Pictures. They've worked on several production re-writes and punch-ups, as well as produced a growing multitude of un-picked up pilots for the FOX television network. Garant lives in Glendale, CA.
