Q: What's the first joke you ever wrote?
A: Too offensive to be repeated. String together the most terrible words and ideas you can conceive of; that was my first joke.

Q: What is the source of your sense of humor?
A: I sit in a coffee shop and write a few times a week. I try to write about my life. If I have nothing going on, I eavesdrop on the people sitting next to me and write about their lives.

Q: In school, were you the class clown or quiet nerd?
A: I was a quiet guy. The word nerd is so cruel.

Q: Is it better to be feared or loved on your way up the comedy ladder?
A:I am in no position to say.

Q: Your stardom: a karmic inevitability or old fashioned luck?
A: I don't see stardom in my future. Not because of karma, or luck, but just because I am not a star personality. I do hope to make a lot of money, however. That's kind of like being a star, except you get to go out in public without being harrassed.
