Q: What's the first joke you ever wrote?
A: I don't write jokes. I tell slice of life stories to give the audience a sense of what it's like to be a rising comedic star. And I tell fat jokes.
Q: What is the source of your sense of humor?
A: My humor comes my mouth. I think of something funny and my brain sends the info to my mouth, and then my mouth says those words. 99% of the time it's hilarious.
Q: In school, were you the class clown or quiet nerd?
A: Those are two great choices. What about all-american athlete... well I wasn't one but it could be a choice. I would say I was the class clown. I moved from Syracuse, NY to Houston, TX after tenth grade so I had to take my Northeast class clown knowledge and transfer that to the Southwest. A transition I made flawlessly.
Q: Is it better to be feared or loved on your way up the comedy ladder?
A: I prefer the comedy escalator. If people are afraid of you and your comedy then I think you're doing it wrong.
Q: Your stardom: a karmic inevitability or old fashioned luck?
A: My stardom is the culmination, yes the culmination, of months of hard work. Work involving miles of running, lifting, sweating, puking, eating, spelling, reading, talking, playing, and the fact that I can send a video on my computer to comedy competitions. And my Mom says I'm going to be a star so take that!
